The healing heroes
network is a nonprofitmaking benevolent organization which provides
financial assistance to injured American troops
in the line of duty in Afghanistan and Iraq on and after 9/11
tragedy. This organization is helping
the injured warriors lead a healthy and a more prolific life through its various
programs.
‘Welcome home, Hero’ program provides financial aid to
injured soldiers and their families for basic needs like shelter, food and
clothing. It helps them financially to make a smooth transition from military
to civilian life. The ‘Tablets for heroes’ program provides tablets to our
heroes who sustained post-traumatic stress disorder and brain injuries while
serving the nation. These people experience forgetfulness, disorganization and
disorientation. Tablets help them to stay in touch with family with wireless
communication. They are also helpful in making electronic schedule.
In ‘Healing Heroes’
program, a network of professionals provides quality care to the soldiers who
are in waiting list. The organization
understands that nursing back to health is not an overnight process. It is a
process that has to be continued till complete recovery. Various therapeutic
treatments including massage, acupuncture, hyperbaric oxygen therapy and
counseling sessions are organized for these veterans. Only one request per
applicant is accepted at a time. To be eligible to take benefits of these
programs, you should have been injured while serving in Afghanistan or Iraq on
or after September 1, 2011. After a detailed review, the organization notifies
within two weeks whether the application was selected or not.
